Photos: Economy Plumbing Supply Building

I intended to get out this weekend and take some pictures around town, but instead a cold decided to ruin my weekend. Not that today's weather would have been particularly conducive to taking pictures anyway! In lieu of something new, here are some pictures I took a couple weeks ago. You may have noticed this building while driving south on Capitol between Walnut and North.

If you look closely, you'll see that this building was actually built for "Ford Cars & Trucks."

These attractive old auto-related buildings are always interesting time. Relics to a time before the product they sold destroyed the built environment.

The northwest side of downtown is littered with great, underutilized buildings. It's hard to notice them as you're whizzing past at 40 mph, and one rarely has a reason to get out and walk in that area. I hope the proposed student housing tower can jumpstart that area.
